I am painting with the same technic as the ancient artists in a visionary style and strive to find out in each things that I can see in the Nature, in the human being, in the Creation as a whole, the strength, the power of life, and the spiritual qualities in order to transcribe these in my paintings. My creation is based on the observation of the human being. He may be so mysterious that he is capable of doing the worst as well as the better. He is like a mirror reflecting the hidden meaning of life and Creation. This mirror if it is covered with dust, will dull the splendid brighness of the sunlight, if in his efforts the human being polishes and improve his nature as the mirror cleansed from its impurities, he reflects in all its splendor the luminous brillance of the sun.
The characters of my paintings appear like beings expressing their feelings and thoughts. They seem to strive to spiritual aspirations. They have a noble attitude, expressing principles around unity of the couple, family, Love, struggles to escape from the limits of the contingent world. They try to escape from the prison of the self and tend to free themselves from their environment, in a warm shade which creates a unity in this diversityof substances, shapes and atmosphere evolving in a range of translucent shades. The earth’s laws are interwoven in the ‘impalpable’ world. The thought takes an organic shape, organises itself and materializes on the body parts of my characters . The environment is timeless, no indication of any time, culture, civilisation. I bring together the temporal and the timelessness. The light does not seem to come from above but it comes from any opening , and any way from inside as well as from outside. The association of microscopic and macroscopic images reveals shapes of a mineral, vegetal and organic architecture. The atmosphere recalls the inside of a mineral, vegetal or human body. From that point of view, every interpretation is free. Images can be seen at any scale, as a consequence, unity is created between microcosm and the macrocosm. There is interpenetration of states. Another metaphor I am using quite frequently is the state and the attitude of the embryo in the womb of his mother. The foetal position of my characters is similar to the one of the human embryo in the uterine world preparing himself for his new spiritual birth. I try to transcribe in my paintings a metaphysical, mystical, and peaceful vision. Simultaneously, my aim is to stimulate educative thoughts. If Art is the soul nourishment, the artist has a constructive role to play in the service of society. Thus I ennoble the human being in his couple life, in his family life, in his relation to life and his environment. I point out this search for meaning that we are all seaking for one day in our life. The thoughts and feelings , the spirituality hidden behind each of the material things are also brought to light.
